Dems are about to surrender their one piece of leverage.
Decent chance this is trying to agree not to oppose the Musk/Trump CR. If you want to have an impact now would probably be the time. Curious whether Slotkin is still sticking by refusal to pass a CR w no DOGE protections.
Senate Democrats just emerged stone faced en masse from a very long lunch meeting and refused to tell reporters where they were on the CR. At least a dozen members just stared straight ahead and marched out past us, inc many normally press friendly ones.
