Hello world, I decided to come to bluesky and share things that I feel deserve sharing. I will focus on #games, both digital and physical, and probably other stuff as well (e.g. books). First time doing this, looking forward to "meeting" new peeps to chat about games with. Thanks for reading :)

Project Genie is an an experimental research prototype that Google gave @jaypeters.net access to this week, though he may not be using it in exactly the way Google intended.

"Dementia simulators" is a good definition.
This is the video stream, which performatively last $250 of compute expenses.
It displays all the well known issues of AI "games": spatial and physics inconsistencies, nonsensical levels, no game state memory, mushy UI... they are still dementia simulators.

"Dementia simulators" is a good definition.
It's amazing. I will not spoil the contents, just know that it is very very cool and well done. Real old school game manual style, including the smell of the glossy paper print.

RE that RT.. it’s wild how steam reviews are still so damn important to getting visibility. If you play and like indie games, the most generous and helpful thing you can do is spend an hour popping positive reviews onto anything you like with <500 or so reviews.

So I loathe having to do this with everyone else hurting right now but the repairs are going to be costly and I would rather earn if I can.
I’ve already had to pay for parts today but labor is going to be more so if you have any work, I’m real good at that.
