Abortion should be taken out of the criminal code.

Vulnerable women should be met with compassion, not criminal charges based on a Victorian-era law that predates women even having the vote.

The Crime Survey for England & Wales says incidents fell sharply from 1995 to 2024. ONS data shows crime in England & Wales is now at its lowest level on record. Burglary is 70% lower than in 2002-3, when current figures began. Domestic violence and car crime have dropped sharply since the 90s.
