Adobe has been pulling the same unethical pattern for 5+ years: sign up for (what you think is) monthly; then when you cancel, charge you a massive cancellation fee (+lose immediate access)

Every week, a complaint goes viral. Adobe doesn't care.

Love this page collecting them:

We reached an incredible milestone together during our recent retreat and had the chance to celebrate in person. 🤩

I volunteered to give a 10min engineering lightning talk at my company retreat next week, but I still need a topic idea! 😅

Totally agree! Also, it's been super fun to play with my wife. Really helpful having a partner to bounce ideas off of.
So after spending quite a bit of time with Blue Prince, if you like puzzle/thinky games you’re absolutely going to want to pick this up. The central gameplay loop is excellent, and the slow reveal of plot is exquisite. It feels like I’ve barely scratched the surface of some unfathomable thing.

So many cool things you can do with MCP servers. What's the most interesting thing you've seen recently?

I started a new side project last night. The first one in a long time.

I don't know if it'll go anywhere, but it was still good for my soul. And I wrote about that part of it here.

Sad news: Val Kilmer has died at 65. In the 1980s and 1990s--Top Secret, Heat, Tombstone, The Doors, really all the way through Kiss Kiss Bang Bang--he was so often an interesting and surprising studio leading man: An oddball with the face of a heartthrob. His best work is very worth revisiting.

Coding in bed while my wife is watching The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), giving me occasional gasps and plot updates. "Everyone knows the King wants to boink her!" 😂

This is real vibe coding.

So, so grateful to work and have skills in tech. In how many other jobs can you just freely build whatever you want? (And don't worry, I see you artists!) It's incredible.

A wise man once said, "You can just do things."
Now I just need to make the time for the right things.

I love using AI to help me with quick little bash scripts. For example: this one gets all the PRs I've been tagged in to review. (But haven't yet reviewed.) It uses the gh cli with some jq for parsing. Even has clickable links! Gist link in thread 🧵

Ack! I somehow managed to spatter bits of sauce from my instant ramen all over a sweater I really like. Didn't come out in the first wash, anyone have laundering tips?

Speaking which, it was that Buldak Carbonara Ramen, and it was delicious. 🍜

There's a special joy in sharing your favorite things with your kids, especially when they're old enough to appreciate it.

(Just finished Return of the Jedi with my 10, 8 and 5 year olds.)
