Tapper: Angus King said standing up to Donald Trump didn't work.

Sanders: Maybe Angus didn't notice the elections on Tuesday. I thought that they worked pretty well.

trump is racist to the bone, and strong, intelligent women confound him.
Trump: "I look at Crockett -- this is a very low IQ person. And I look at somebody who comes from Somalia where they don't have anything. All they have is crime."

Come on! We know members of the Senate are “free agents,” but the fact is Schumer didn’t hold his caucus together & isn’t doing his job as Leader

We’re supposed to believe it’s a coincidence that none of the Dems who voted yes on the CR have anything to lose in 2026?

@schumer.senate.gov STEP DOWN!

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Chuck Schumer is unable to lead the Democratic Party.

Step down from leadership @SenSchumer. He is going to go down in history as the worst Dem legislative leader in modern times, and it’s not even close. We are tired of you letting us down!!!

Schumer voted 'no' BECAUSE THERE WERE ENOUGH YES VOTES and he is shielding himself from another blow back from the last time he capitulated to Trump

Schumer has publicly refused to support Mamdani

He is protecting billionaires

He's a manipulative, weak sauce loser.

HE NEEDS TO GO - NOW!

🔥 Absolutely with Jasmine Crockett on this one. Mike Johnson isn’t leading the People’s House; He’s running Trump’s protection racket.

He’s keeping Congress out to shield his idol from scrutiny over his pedophile pals.

I voted HELL NO on a CR deal that betrays millions of people who rallied, organized, and voted to save health care for 20 million Americans. Giving into a bully does nothing to stop him. I’ll keep fighting against Trump’s authoritarianism and attempts to gut community resources.

I got back to my office after the vote last night and recorded this. There's no way to sugarcoat what happened. And my fear is that Trump gets stronger, not weaker, because of this acquiescence. I'm angry - like you. But I choose to keep fighting.

Par for the course. Democrats fucking suck. Cowards
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)
