Color is added for contrast but monochrome isn't exactly accurate. Color is how we make sense of the world and what we see in color is a tiny bit of the electromagnetic spectrum. Sensors simply detect the electromagnetic spectrum- e.g. a camera does not see green, it replicates what we see as green.

Fiiiiiiinally got to tell my son (7) and my partner’s girl (6 and 8) that we are dating. Of course, this is after almost a year, and waiting for the kids to bring up the idea so it was their idea.
