To tackle political lies why not have mandatory MP training? Making MPs do work experience might help then realise the difference between what they say in elections and what they do in government.

We don't defeat populists by calling out their lies. We tried that. Facts are complicated, and the audience for populism wants simplicity. It won't work.
We defeat populists by enacting bold political ideas that improve lives for the disenfranchised, and make the world seem less grotesquely unfair.

In 1948 the principles of the NHS were simple. Make sure it has enough money and staff to meet the needs of the population, who all get equal access to top quality healthcare, protecting it from private sector motives.
Those principles remain true today.
We must stand together to save our NHS 💙
