That is a pretty insane number. And people continue to blame the poor and disadvantaged for the ills of the country.
Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

Remember this before you order your next pumpkin spice latte.

fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you

J Central Park Plymouth.

There is a tree in the park.

Nothing remarkable really.

It isn't a remarkable tree. You wouldn't pick it for anything. It's not the biggest, it's not very pretty, quite ordinary actually. You wouldn't choose it to build a chair or table, not even for fire wood....

Morning sun on the west side of our alley.
Soon, after 8 years of wandering along this alley we're heading to pastures new. I thought it would be good to take a look at what we leave. Each portal to a different life hidden behind. Each tells its own little story.

If my photos or posts about mental health have ever lifted you, could you maybe like this post? I know it seems needy but I'm trying to change the narrative in my head-find some value in myself. If I've helped someone I can hold on to that x

Not really sure about this? I've been wary of blushes since I was a child, I just found them weird & disgusting. But here we have a government regulator suggesting we shouldn't give these drinks to children, who happen to be the target customer for the things.... www.theguardian.com/society/2025...
Children under seven should not drink slushies containing glycerol, says regulator
Food Standards Agency warns that the drinks can cause decreased consciousness and low blood sugar

Through ‘These Are My Trails’ our hope is to turn littering from a thoughtless act, to a considered one. One that is not followed through. We’re preventing single-use pollution from escaping into the environment and inspiring action.

One trail, one person, at a time. Are you in?

Oh no! What is happening?! I feared Starmer and Reeves would be devoid of progressive policies and fail to make things better. But even in my arch cynicism I didn't expect moves like this: Ousted for protecting consumers over execs. Replaced by Amazon exec.
Government ousts UK competition watchdog chair
Marcus Bokkerink is leaving as the government signals it is serious about growth, the BBC understands.

This could set a worrying precedent. It is not particularly good news. The last government did a very good job on edging us towards a police state.
