I do love how having proven themselves to be modern-day genocidaires, so many Western countries like the USA, Australia, the UK, Canada will never again be able to hop on their high white horses to lecture other countries (like say China) about any need to respect human rights. Those days are over.

Everyone knew about the abuse there.
The people who knew and didn’t call the police were as guilty as the perpetrators.
No one who knew faced any consequences, retired as respected educators, died peacefully in their comfortable beds.
