Yea it’s a coping strategy for sure. The same way I listened to Rachel Maddow to go to bed at night 2017-2018. I was reasonably certain it was BS but it was the only way I could square what was happening.

I’d generally give “Monster” a B-. Gein’s effect on the horror genre though is worthwhile.

I didn’t care for Poltergeist. There was stuff to like there but as a whole didn’t work. Can’t believe I’ve never seen any of his other movies. Texas Chain Saw is immortal. I’ll plug “Monster: Ed Gein” again because TCSM’s production and history (as well as Psycho’s) are featured prominently.
