I’ve been playing a bit with GPUI, @zed.dev’s GPU accelerated UI library.

Wanted to build the basic of ChatGPT-like UI. A few important features still missing (sending a message and code snippets) but the basic layout is working.

AWS frontend engineer must be the worst I've seen, specially from a company which obviously has talented engineers ...

Loading AWS console on the S3 page https://buff.ly/4ggg2jD takes 2 minutes, 316 request and downloads 7mb just to list all the buckets under my account.

A side effect of using LLMs in my day-to-day dev work is that writing a prompt for a task of medium complexity forces you (if you want the LLM to get it right) to do a good job at describing the problem, the intended possible solution, corner cases, etc.

On my journey to try to fix iCloud consuming all my bandwidth.

The problem: cloudd process download 7GB of data at max speed everyday and I cannot figure out why.

My attempt of workaround is to at least limit the bandwidth that process can consume.

Does anybody know an easy way of limiting iCloud bandwidth consumption? Every day cloudd process decides to download 7.6 by and consume all my download bandwidth
