Just this week, the 79-year-old president hallucinated a lie about the Unabomber, forgot he appointed the Fed Chair he hates, blanked on names of officials, fell asleep at a rally, threatened to strip Rosie O'Donnell of her citizenship and spun wild theories about his good friend the pedophile.

My favorite part about all these publications writing about a "high-speed rail line" that will "go from LA to NYC in 72 hours" and be "operating in time for the World Cup" is that literally none of them stopped to look up the fact that Amtrak does this trip in less time right now

But this line... is just perfect: "The Constitution is like a gym membership for these people: they talk about it constantly, it’s mostly aspirational, and they’re winded after the Preamble."

This was Vin Scully's call of Henry Aaron's 715th home run. Tonight Major League Baseball cut off the first sentence, starting it with the "What a marvelous moment" part because they don't want to anger the white supremacists who run our country and of whom Rob Manfred is an ardent supporter.

This is amazing. Yesterday Trump claimed he talked to his uncle about how brilliant the Unabomber was when the Unabomber was a student of his at MIT.

The Unabomber never went to MIT, he was identified in 1996, and his uncle died in 1985.
you genuinely have to admire his brain. getting hammered 24/7 on Epstein? better fabricate a personal link to the Unabomber, specifically mentioning one of the prestigious universities where Epstein peddled his influence

We’re releasing the Epstein Files day one. There are no Epstein Files. Here’s video proof nothing happened. Ok we had to edit it. There are no Epstein Files. There are Epstein Files, but the Democrats made them. Why do you care so much about this Epstein guy? What are “Files”?

Donald Trump just unilaterally bombed Iran. A masked gang is terrorizing our streets. America has rapidly devolved into an authoritarian state.

That's why, today, The Onion has purchased a full page ad in today's New York Times with a simple plea to Congress:

Sit back and do absolutely nothing.

We still have no idea who the ICE agents are. They could be insurrectionists, extremist militiamen or criminals themselves, chasing law-abiding citizens down the street for recording their kidnappings. The odds they aren't are low. Congress must raise hell about this. A masked gang runs our country.

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles
Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.
Breaking News: Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller who is running for mayor, was detained by ICE agents at an immigration court as he tried to escort a migrant out of the courthouse to prevent his arrest. nyti.ms/4jWkANE

SHUT. IT. DOWN.

A senator was dragged out of a press conference for standing up for his constituents and against fascism.

Watch how your representatives and senators respond to their own colleague being treated like this. That'll show you how they'll react when it's *you* on the ground.
Call your senators, demand they shut the Senate down.

Nobody believed us when we warned them RFK Jr.’s endgame is to eliminate all vaccines. They told us we were histrionic and hysterical. I’ve been watching RFK Jr. for 20 years. He’s antivax to the core. He really means it, and NOTHING will change his mind. He will do all he can to eliminate vaccines.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Hot take. The government isn’t subsidizing university budgets. Universities are lending subsidized expertise to research and development that contributes to the public good. It’s called partnership.
