Well, a friend had their passport denied and all of their critical documentation confiscated at the passport office. They wouldn’t even let her get a passport with her assigned gender at birth. Just took all her shit.

Not clear what will happen at renewal time if birth certificate is already updated. Will they be checking whether you've changed that too? "God given sex" is not well defined (probably on purpose)
