A little ramble on youth sport and it's delivery. When I talk about obliquity, I mean to get away from the rigid linearity that we continue to embrace. We generally think "we need to build future prospects!" (IE "professionals"). The words steer our beliefs and delivery.
Released on this date in 1974, #nowspinning my favourite Roxy Music album, Country Life.

One of the only times Ward has received in full flight today. She's hard to live with when she has that kinesthetic advantage.

Rise exceptionally lucky to escape that half only down by 1. Turn that luck into an advantage when you come out in 2nd half. Won't get lucky for 90.

Goal kicks are very odd. Don't trust keepers to skip lines in distribution?

What is advantage of having a CB right next to keeper on a goal kick?

Rise midfield needs to get a hold of the game here. Chasing shadows and turning it over too often. Have to win some duels and combine to progress more

Rise need to calm down and get a hold of the ball
Stop looking for fast attacks immediately, the turnovers are creating transitions and possession moments for Toronto. Put a foot on the ball, share it, get everyone involved. Calm.

I love the proliferation of Veo cameras at games. Now means players, coaches, officials can't hide from their actions, nor fabricate stories to hide their indiscretions.
