This shit is as mortifying as it is dangerous. And Hasset’s smirk makes it all the more infuriating.

Haha! We’re threatening war with a longtime ally and the country with which we share the longest border in the world!

These assholes should never, ever be allowed to live this down.
Kevin Hassett suggests Canadian authorities are covering up major fentanyl operations: "I can tell you that in the situation room I've seen photographs of fentanyl labs in Canada that the law enforcement folks were leaving alone. Canada's got a big drug problem."

When there are school shootings, Republicans say, “Now’s not the time to talk about gun safety—lives were just lost.”

When blue states face disasters, including thousands of people losing homes to devastating fires, Trump wastes no time slamming them, driven purely by spite!

In a unique arrangement, most people who are incarcerated in Louisiana are detained in local jails. This has turned Louisiana jails into thriving businesses for the sheriffs who run them.

Many sheriffs lobbied for a package of punitive laws in 2024, and succeeded thanks to the new governor.
