I trust Mike Flanagan as a horror director, but I do wish they got someone with more body horror under their belt. Recency bias has me thinking of Coralie Fargeat.

Welp I started watching The Fall of House Usher and I retract this statement. Guy’s got some good and goopy body horror. I apologize for my ignorance
it’s been interesting seeing a trend of ‘horror movie through the perspective of ___’ but also I’m genuinely impressed by Indy’s acting here. As much as I loved Krpto in Superman, I was kinda disappointed he was 100% CGI, but yeah I get it. This is entire movie with a real dog. That’s impressive.
It's shot from the perspective of a dog who sees their owner haunted by supernatural spirits
In theaters October 3

it turns out this ps2 game is not actually about giant robots but is entirely focused on the unfortunately incredibly funny suffering of this specific teenager. like look at this shit

I am SUPER excited for Bring her Back and I wanna see it. But I also watched Talk to Me only about a month ago and I don’t think I’m prepared to go through those kind of emotions again.

Live action Snow White was doomed from the start. You’re taking a movie where its best merits are the animation and being Disney’s first film without either of those things with a story that is already barebones. And, sure, they can do a retelling but what else is there to do with it.
