Andrew Cuomo said Christopher Columbus statues were targeted because he’s Italian — and said that NYC will celebrate Columbus Day on his watch, and find *another* day for Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

The foundations of every "Estate" in this country rotted away between Reagan and Bush and Obama kumbaya-ed his way through 8 years to the point where that trophies the public to the complete lack of reciprocity in them.

That Signalgate is what has gotten Dems moving, and not the war crimes described in signalgate, is indicative of why the Left hates democrats.

There's nothing noble about drafted. Most draft dodgers were drafted to fight in Vietnam, one of the most of the most unjust wars of the century. It's one of the only good things trump did.

It dovetails into anti-Israel sentiment in that they are both valid and accurate views that an objective viewer would adhere to.
This is a kind of persecution, such as it is, that's really hard to remedy with any of the tools we normally use to fight discrimination — and I'd argue it's a concern that dovetails with anti-Israel sentiment on campus and elsewhere

Going further, the devolution of art is always a precursor to fascism. It both lays the groundwork for the "daddy-ification" of government and is an indicator of capitalist tendencies overriding artistic questioning.

I like a lot of Jamelle's takes overall, especially when he focuses on what I'd call the sentimentality of governing, but takes like this kind of show that he really does have pretty run-of-the-mill liberal opinions about stuff.
i think rage at congestion pricing is a good example of how no one believes that the world can be positive sum anymore. like, people pay a small fee to get access to a faster commute — saving them valuable time — and the money improves public transit, saving other people valuable time. it's win-win!
