hey this is completely unrelated to anything, but if you happened to have seen something you didn't want to today, and are afraid of intrusive visual memories or ptsd-like symptoms, play like a half hour of tetris every day for the next week or so.

the one thing i'll say about the Discourse: why are people calling homestuck a "webcomic".

there's audio, interactive elements, music, minigames, branching (even if rejoining) choices.

it's very clearly a visual novel.

there's an anime con in mtl this week, and like. it's one thing to cosplay the n*zi w*zard in 2025, but to cosplay it WRONG?

saw a dude on the metro who put the scar under his eye. like. it's very famously on the forehead. fuckin weird.

i've genuinely never understood even having a preference?

like, that's the glass of the window, idc if it's soda lime or borosilicate or even plexiglass. i'm looking through it. to the outside. i'm not looking at the glass? and it's like. clear anyway.
learned that online fiction writing advice widely disparages the third person omniscient perspective now, referring to it as "head hopping," because it's supposed to be too confusing for readers. i never remember hearing this when i was younger. many great novels across genres are written this way.
