Into a little bit of everything. Books, art, photography, museums.
Thanks to 90 Degrees South Podcast, I've got this song in my head. I feel this with my whole heart, and damn it hurts.

Also, if you're looking for something weird, wonderful, a murder mystery, etc in Antarctica, check out the podcast. It's a good one.

My mind deepens into them.
There I can find, as in old letters,
the days of my life, already lived,

A troop of #fairies in Cumberland were enjoying a party when members of the Musgrave family of Eden Hall stumbled upon them. They ran off, leaving behind a glass beaker. Later the family were allowed to keep it but were warned that if it should break, bad luck would follow...

Last of Charles Dickens's Christmas novellas, The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain (1848) features the gift of forgetting, but in the end we discover it's the gift of remembering that we ought to cherish.

The closing words are: 'Lord, Keep my Memory Green'

There's an old Hookland maxim: 'Some roads are walked by ghosts/Some roads are makers of ghosts'. Of course the wisdom is not only knowing which is which, but when one road is simultaneously both. The way to Greydown Bigh is a prime example. – #DAKilroy

Tis the season and all. Vincent Price narrating a Christmas Carol in 1949. Yes, there are better ones. I've adored Mr Price since I was little, and his voice and gentle manner shine through here.🎄
