Yes! Proud of my old school district. Huge result for a suburban area that normally leans red.
In Lake Travis ISD the three conservative DOGE candidates lost to the dem candidates. And for the first time in a decade this school board will not have a conservative majority. An ultra- conservative Trump PAC has been backing these board races and has now lost the last two.

Here are the links to folks who are tracking grant cancellations at both NIH and NSF censoring science. This team is tracking terminations to organize and advocate. Please report your terminated grants:

Never mind, that was a short break! Had to come back to follow the news about the NSF grant freezes. I’m currently paid through an NSF grant to continue my research until I find a job. I’ll update if I learn of any details that I’m allowed to share. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

It’s happening. ICE is holding a US citizen without cause.
🚨A U.S. born citizen was arrested in Florida for entering the state as an “unauthorized alien.” His mother and a community advocate showed his birth certificate during a hearing in Leon County. The judge said she had no authority to release him.

Can’t say I’m surprised. The guy loves a power trip. He was pathetically quick to urge police to remove frustrated constituents from his town hall (cops ignored him, making him look like even more of a loser). I bet he took a selfie at CECOT and just hasn’t shared it (yet).
Utah congressman Mike Kennedy toured El Salvador's infamous "hell on Earth" CECOT prison - just one day before officials blocked Democratic U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen from visiting wrongfully deported American.

If Utah was really a family-friendly state, it would create special liquor licenses for breweries that would enable parents to bring their kids along (among other things). Breweries in other states I lived in are some of the most family-friendly places, often real neighborhood third places.

As inconvenient of a time as it is to be completing a PhD and trying to find a job, it’s starting to look like an even worse time to be starting or continuing in a program.
These are training grants. 🚨

The Trump administration has launched a war on students and young people studying science.

It’s a common thread. Trump is killing student fellowship grants at NIH and NSF, and is killing the NIH and CDC in-house fellows programs.

Starting to get annoyed by all these accounts following 30,000 people who are in the uncanny valley of seeming like neither a bot nor a real person. It’s an instant block from me, even if they claim to espouse views I agree with.

@altwasonps.bsky.social Celeste Maloy claimed multiple times at her town hall last night that she called the White House and convinced them to re-hire the NPS employees who were laid off last month. I’m skeptical, because she was lying constantly, but can you confirm if this is true?

Your question made the cut. They allowed questions from the people attending. HOWEVER, they deleted them all as they were posted. And then it became a fact check. Just behind them. In real time. At least they showed up? He is a true snowflake.

The crowd is slowly filling in as they pass through the security check. #utpol

I used to believe in damage mitigation by being Utah RINO.

I don't believe that anymore. Utah Dems need to stop being such defeatists by saying, "They'll win anyway. Let's make them less extreme!"

It's time to fight. When they go low, we fight right back and call out their BS. Enough is enough!

Just saw this posted by Herriman City over on FB. Can we get this amplified so concerned Utahns show up to this en masse? Reminder Herriman is where Patriot Front felt safe enough to march in front of city hall.

Thanks!
