Twitter is the social media site I mourn the most. Public health Twitter was so massively helpful as an undergraduate/graduate student in the field. It was a phenomenal conglomeration of research about our ongoing pandemics; many users didn’t transfer to bluesky. How do I fill this gap in knowledge?

I understand the sentiment, but we must not look away. Apathy feeds evil. Without knowledge of the truth we cannot begin to act, to resist. I am an atheïst, but I still feel this quote, from 1944, has some value today.

A guy with the ear of our government and an office in the White House giving the Nazi salute is shocking, and a huge deal. That is why we are seeing it everywhere. I would rather keep seeing it than have people accept it as normal.
