I understand the sentiment, but we must not look away. Apathy feeds evil. Without knowledge of the truth we cannot begin to act, to resist. I am an atheïst, but I still feel this quote, from 1944, has some value today.

A guy with the ear of our government and an office in the White House giving the Nazi salute is shocking, and a huge deal. That is why we are seeing it everywhere. I would rather keep seeing it than have people accept it as normal.

Just showed this to my German husband and his face tells me how bad that is. His schooling was all bout how to learn from history and never allow fascism to take hold in the country again. It is crystal clear to him. 😩
