It's a $5 Billion tax hike on Atlanta residents to create a mayoral slush fund.
The entire promise, when the TADs began, was that our Schools & Public Services would get a big revenue boost after 25 years. Now residents are hung out to dry?

On the bright side, he's established precedent that it's ok for government officials to tell judges to go fuck themselves so he should gladl6 accept a heavy dose of that.

ProPublica is doing important work. If you are able to toss them a few bucks, it's a good cause.
THREAD: We recently heard that the Trump administration was leaning on the government of Gambia to help Elon Musk. For weeks, our team made phone calls, wrote letters and knocked on folks’ doors to try to confirm it. But we were stuck.

So our reporters got on a plane to Banjul. 1/

Truly an idiocracy
After weeks of determining tariff rates for dozens of countries, aides from several government agencies produced a menu of options.

Instead, President Trump personally selected a formula that was based on two simple variables, according to people familiar with the matter.

If Trump had imposed max reciprocal tariffs, it would have hurt inflation, the economy, and the stock market a little. The market is reacting so negatively because he pulled this tariff formula out of his ass and imposed some of the highest tariffs in the world. This will shut down trade.
CNBC's Steve Liesman doesn't mince words about the way the White House calculated its tariff rates:

"Nobody ever heard of this formula. Nobody has ever used this formula. So I’m sorry, but the conclusion seems to be the president kind of made this up as he went along... these are off the charts."

Fortunately we also have the artificial fertilization president Elon Musk too.
Trump: "We're gonna have tremendous goodies in the bag for women too. The women, between the fertilization and all the other things we're talking about, it's gonna be great. Fertilization. I'm still very proud of it, I don't care. I'll be known as the fertilization president and that's okay."
