We want the candy. Ford gives us buck a beer and no controls on our driving habits, and a highway to take a few seconds off the trip to the cottage. We are selfish and do not put the greater good over our own desires.

That is a good summary of just some of the ways Doug Ford is making life worse in Ontario. Now we just need to replace him with someone better. I keep voting against him, but the latest Abacus poll puts him 28 points ahead, so a lot of people seem to love him:

Would some councillor @seandevine9.bsky.social ? propose a U-pass system for all public employees (maybe also federal employees) so that a regular infusion of regular cash to OCTranspo could allow city to stop raising fares and instead lower them, as well as make it possible for more frequent trips?

People still do not know measles is spread in the air. Public Health needs to do much more education blasts in all media, point out measles can kill. And old immunocompromised cannot get vaccines so please protect us!!!

If only city would make buses frequent along Carling and Baseline in HOV lanes which would not require huge investment now but would encourage drivers to park cars and take buses, because one lane for regular cars would be incentive to bus. Transit fare MUST come DOWN!!! Restore youth low fare.

We have a similar giant puddle by the exit driveway from Merivale High school. New sidewalk sections were made but they should have made the sidewalk the same height across the driveway so water would puddle for the cars, not pedestrians. When it freezes it is a real danger for lots of elders, kids.
