The problem right now is that Trump and Elon Musk are effectively shutting down the government—whichever parts they don’t like—all on their own, without any regard for the law.

All conflicts of interest between the FAA and Elon Musk must be removed. It is a conflict of interest for someone whose company is regulated by the federal government to be involved in anything that affects his personal financial interest, his company or his competitors.
