The common foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) chilling in our woodland

Most survive winter dormant as a rosette of leaves in their first year, like this one

The name likely originates from the flower's shape resembling a glove & folklore about foxes wearing them to move silently

They want to return Greenland to pre 982.

So why don't we return the USA to pre 1492.

Deport all those immigrants, like they seem to want.

Stanley Spencer painted about a dozen landscapes in and around Leonard Stanley in Gloucestershire during the early 1940s. The village, not far from Stroud, contains the remains of a Benedictine priory which lies at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment.

María Machado's giving Donald Trump her Peace Prize.

The Nobel Prize committee needs to remove it from her now.

Not only is she an embarrassment to them, she is an embarrassment to the Nobel Prize too.

Please read this. The UK political & media establishment is asleep at the wheel.

We have made ourselves wholly dependent on a Trump ally for our national security at the exact moment Trump is threatening to invade a NATO ally

Let’s be clear: if the Palestine Action hunger strikers die, the government will bear moral responsibility | George Monbiot
The three remaining hunger strikers have been convicted of nothing. Yet with astonishing cruelty, ministers refuse to listen to their reasonable demands, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Reminder: ICE has a budget bigger than most militaries around the world.

It has increased its spending on weapons by 700% since Trump took office.

Trump is building his own personal military to terrorize American cities, trample on civil rights, and intimidate his opponents.

A very long and important THREAD -

The real reason the US is invading Venezuela goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974.

And I'm going to explain why this is actually about the SURVIVAL of the US dollar itself.

Not drugs. Not terrorism. Not "democracy." 1/

'Farm on a Hillside,' (1914) is a superb piece of pictorial design by John Nash. He typically used trees to articulate space and unify a painting in an overall pattern; the clarity of drawing and controlled use of colour add to this painting's appeal.

PPE Medpro has been liquidated but because it has only £0.6m only £0.6m of the £148m debt will be repaid.

A Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA), placed against Michelle Mone and Doug Barrowman (worth £500m+) would allow all the money to be recovered.

Why hasn't it happened?

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.

While Norway still owns everything and has the equivalent of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.
