“Hey Jordan, did you read that blog?”

Probably not. Very likely not.
I’m so excited to be disappointed by everyone I see posting videos or pictures at PAX U not masked.

And then complaining about “Con crud.” Do you mean covid, the flu, or a cold? It’s almost like we could avoid that.

www.newsweek.com/nursing-not-...

This is an act of political violence. Fewer people able to access education like this means fewer nurses, specifically likely means fewer rural nurses and fewer nurses at things like free clinics.

This is political violence against the poor.
Nursing is no longer counted as a 'professional degree' by Trump admin
The Department of Education has excluded nursing as a "professional degree" program as it implements various changes to student loans.

I’m not very good at impressions… but I will say that I regularly do a Werner Herzog impression that is also not very good.

I'm running a tutorial session of OSE in FoundryVTT for some people this week. In preparation, I made a Beginners Guide to follow along for those players.

Check it out now on my blog, includes the downloadable PDF

My reference guide to get new VTT players comfortable with playing a TTRPG like Old School Essentials in FoundryVTT. I run and play in a lot of TTRPG games run with virtual tabletop apps like…

“Metagaming” as a villainized idea in ttrpgs is so weird to need, because that’s largely the game part of tabletop role playing games.

I genuinely don’t care about it. It’s effectively impossible to avoid and not only that, you shouldn’t avoid it.

Enjoy the game part of the games you play.
We really need to stop pretending that all, or even most, metagaming is bad. Take away your hit points and the numbers on your sheets and you’ll play differently. I can metagame to make sure that a player who’s been quiet or bored has something to do.

The doctor at the ER told me I have “the worst paraesophageal hernia” he’s ever seen.

Go big or go home is what I always say.

Just about every time I watch a Netflix movie, I’m disappointed by how shitty it looks.

There are certainly new movies that look phenomenal, but so many movies are just trying to look like a Netflix movie and look terrible.

I’ve always rated the Rob Zombie Halloween movies as the worst in the franchise and I thought maybe I was too harsh and these movies are better than I remember…

So I’m watching the first one…

I was not wrong rating them as the worst. These movie are actually worse than I remember.

Blue Prince is one of the biggest indie releases of the year… that game rewards you for taking physical notes with a paper and pencil. The puzzle game genre is doing just fine.
old video game puzzles were like, "connect these 37 wires in a way that metaphorically represents the plot of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night" and now they're like "here's four animals, which has wings"

Halloween H20 is an underrated banger and it’s time someone said it. That movie rules.

I can’t believe it took me this long to watch The 400 Blows. As a certified Truffaut fan, this movie was one I hadn’t seen. So wonderful!

Basically every day on social media I see a post and all I can think is “The male loneliness epidemic isn’t working hard enough. Some men aren’t lonely enough.”

Point of clarification: the male loneliness epidemic doesn’t exist, those men just have shitty opinions about women, so women avoid them.

“Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice.”

I had no idea there was a Netflix mini series based on my favorite novel. Digging into it today.

This man who claims to be such a “man” unable to do even the most basic tasks is my favorite movie ever made
True comedy is watching Dave Portnay trying to use a hammer

People who still go to Starbucks are losers. There are zero legitimate reasons to go to Starbucks.

First of all, it’s bad. Second of all, it’s obscenely overpriced. Third of all, they’re a repulsive company.

You don’t need to go to Starbucks.

I don’t really understand why anyone is so shocked by this. Epstein was wealthy and powerful. Nothing else matters to the people who worship wealth and power.

Most wealthy and powerful people are absurdly unimpressive.

This is not new.
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

Oh man, I just found out that one of my all-time favorite actors, Tatsuya Nakadai, passed at 92.

Harakiri, Ran, The Human Condition, and so many more absolute masterpieces. One of the greatest actors of all time. An absolute legend.
