We often forget how far we have come: Today almost 3/4 of EU electricity generation is from non-fossil energy sources.
It is not long ago that fossil fuels dominated the EU's electricity mix.
This year their share is approaching 1/4 of EU electricity generation.

There's not many 10-year-old cars with software this good, or 130kW+ charging speeds! The combination of autopilot and free charging make this the best road trip EV, Tesla was so far ahead of other manufacturers back in 2015, it's a shame they've lost their way a bit...

We're on the verge of the heating season in North Wales, temperature is dropping to 11C, my newly installed Grant Aerona 290 heatpump has started trickling some heat in, impressive low modulation of 2.2kW (366W electrical) from this 9kW unit, COP of 5.7 at the moment 👍

We're on the verge of the heating season in North Wales, temperature is dropping to 11C, my newly installed Grant Aerona 290 heatpump has started trickling some heat in, impressive low modulation of 2.2kW (366W electrical) from this 9kW unit, COP of 5.7 at the moment 👍

I've finally finished upgrading radiators and filling my space heating circuit, 10 rads and a towel rail have been upgraded, all piped TBOE to maximise output, existing rads were old single panel non convector and in poor condition, but I was able to re-use existing pipework 😃

We're up and running! Still got some tidying up and lagging to do, but the heatpump is heating DHW, very pleased with the performance of the Grant Arona 290 and the @heat-geek.bsky.social Super Cylinder from @newarkcylinders.bsky.social, COP of 4.64 for first heat up 🤩

I've made a bit of progress on my heat pump installation this weekend, I've got the outdoor unit in position! I think the new Grant Arona 290 is a nice looking unit 😍

The oil tank has gone, we now have a view from our bedroom! So many advantages upgrading to a heatpump, can't want to get it installed 😃

Big milestone on my ASHP installation in our new house this weekend, the oil boiler has been decommissioned, and the new cylinder has been installed! Currently running off immersion, but even with a COP of 1 this is a 65% Co2 reduction 🥳
