Personal and household CO2 emissions data for 2025 shows our 3rd full year without gas use. Overall very small changes from last year. Direct emissions from the house/car etc were down slightly (again).
Total household CO2 exc flights = 843kg, inc flights 1388kg,

Early this week (I think, I can’t keep track), ICE Nazis grabbed two teens out of a Target at which they both work. Both are citizens. It turns out that ICE threw one of the two teens out onto the road some blocks away. This is the video of this poor kid.

🇫🇷 Yesterday wind power accounted for ~15% of France electrical power generation (283GWh). Solar power was ~2% (36.8GWh). Hydro net of pumping was ~11% (196GWh).

Across the year the ASHP performed amazingly, averaging a total SCOP for 2025 of 4.47, which can be broken down into:
Heating COP - 5.11
DHW COP - 3.31

I'm very happy with that efficiency which when eventually coupled with PV and batteries should bills will reduce considerably.

Total⚡ 6630 kWh (ie 2153 kWh from PV direct or via battery)
Of this EV = 725 kWh
ASHP = 2457 kWh
Sunamp iPV = 530 kWh PV divert
and 170 kWh off-peak (grid) elec
PV generation = 2692 kWh (539 kWh exported)

Here's our actual Octopus Energy Bill. The total cost of our energy in Dec-2025 was £147.22 inc VAT. The average unit rate of our elec was 16.22p/kWh exc VAT or £17.03p/kWh inc VAT.

Delivering 1164kWh heat & DHW
our PV generated 42kWh, with 41kWh self consump & ~0.7kWh export
Total cost of elec: ~£154 inc VAT and standing charge (but excluding FiT payments for our PV).
