Another insight from the data is that the age of the property and the amount of insulation makes very little difference to the performance of the heat pump

This was a stand-out slide, showing a comparison between two identical heat pumps: one running low-and-slow compared to another running at high temperature for short periods.

💡Correct commissioning and control setup is very important

It's not a buffer, it's a volumiser. There's no harm in having extra volume on a system, however the primary reason I installed it was for testing purposes

Great stuff! @NewarkCylinders Heat Geek super cylinders are very good, my heatpump with this cylinder is one of the best performing systems on Heatpumpmonitor.org over the last 90 days, the standard Newark cylinders also look good and are very good quality

I would recomend David Moss from OpenHouse Renewables based in Aberystwyth, he often works with John Cantor share.google/Z1wGKRVFlO9S...

Agree, I doubt Musk has much input into Tesla these days, it's mostly hardworking clever people, with a thick skin to put up with his antics! 🙄

Context: If you wanted an EV in 2015 the options were basically a 24KWh Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe or a Model S, purchase cost aside there's absolutely no competition, this was the first long range EV, 10 years later it's still going strong & getting regular software updates!

It still blows my mind how a heat pump can convert 2.2kW of electricity into 12.7kWh of heat! 🤯

Yes, it looks promising but that test was done in warm temperatures, I'm a bit concerned that in winter it may fall short of customer expectations, compared to a combi boilter, a conventional cylinder also enables utilising off-peak tariffs to reheat
