When I was driving from Columbus to Madison a lot the highlight of the trip was driving through this enormous wind farm, just mankind gently turning planetary whims into usable power, as far as the eye could see in either direction. Really beautiful to see, even at night
My hot take is that I think wind turbines are beautiful. Like if you’re going to tilt against windmills because they ‘ruin a landscape’ my counter argument will be “no they don’t they’re gorgeous”.

The potential loss of the world’s greatest climate forecasting tool has ramifications for long-term safety and security.

NOAA’s climate modeling systems help the Defense Department not just operate but anticipate and prepare for emerging threats.

Carol Off hits it out of the park with the most insightful and poignant defence of the CBC, and its importance to Canada’s social fabric, that I have read to date. Well done!
There are major threats to Canada's sovereignty right now. Losing our public broadcaster is one of them.
The CBC -as we know it -will cease to exist if Mr. Poilievre wins on Monday.
I think that matters.

Every college and university should do this to remind Americans that attacks on these institutions are actually attacks on all of us.
Harvard redid its whole homepage to push back against the administration’s demands. I mean, this is just a website but I think it’s kind of a great PR move: www.harvard.edu

A vial of insulin costs far, far, far, far more in the U.S. than it does in Canada, as do most other drugs.

Could our beloved price gap become a casualty of Trump's trade war?

Possibly, if a group of pharma companies gets its way.

Why Cory Booker’s Speech Matters
Booker didn’t “accomplish” anything. He was a voice of one crying in the wilderness. And that’s how you build a dissident movement: with simple acts of witness.
