Only a stooge for a foreign government would present those demands, in that tone, at this time, while threatening National unity.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she met with Prime Minister Mark Carney "at his request" today and gave him a "list of demands."

She says whoever wins the next election "must address" these demands "within the first six months of their term to avoid an unprecedented national unity crisis."

Alex had a permit to carry.

He was legally exercising his 2nd Amendment right, and was legally filming the ICE agents.

He did NOT draw the weapon.

He was just filming when they approached him.

ICE agents had taken his weapon from its holster BEFORE they shot him.

It was MURDER.

I hope it's not lost on anyone that the exact same motherfuckers on the Canadian right who spent decades wielding the idea of Canadian Patriotism like a cudgel, talking about "real Canadians", accusing every opponent of "hating Canada", are now pivoting to a platform of literal treason

Carney is a nice change from lightweight politicians like Trudeau and PP who never had a real job.

There really are a lot of people out there like this that focus on a swear like a bull on a cape. When the Access Hollywood tape came out a lot of people (not the ones at the top of course) genuinely thought the main problem was that Trump had said "the P-word" hence the "locker room talk" defense
I cannot imagine running this unless it was intended to mock and vilify the writer.

New in PN: A war criminal without a war

"We’re watching the flimsy justifications fall apart in real time. They can try to shift the blame. They can try to say that people clinging to wreckage for dear life are somehow an active threat. But in the end, it’s just murder."

Glad to see the monkey see, monkey do approach to workforce management at the federal level. Don't be a leader, or make principled calls. Instead, ape what Ontario and city of Ottawa are doing.

Not to pick on this particular person but this was absolutely not a choke job and hadn't been the entire series. The Jays aren't the Leafs. The Dodgers were expected to walk away with the series, we made them work for every single hit. This is simply the outcome of a very close game and series
One of the greatest choke jobs in sports history. A Toronto tradition

What a post season by my bluejays! Setting records and pushing the Dodgers to the limit.

Next year, the jays need to revisit their substitution strategy in close games. Hard to walk off when lineup is Swiss cheese late in the game. Hard to avoid in Bichette's case given the injury.

A good loss has so many "if only" moments, and we have a lot of those. It's hard, a win is so much better, but how you lose is important to.

Dodgers had to fight and scrape when they were the heavy favourites to walk away with it all.

Jays did NOT go down like the Brewers. They commanded respect.

I had two expectations for this post season. I needed them to win one series, and I needed them not to embarrass themselves. Boys made us proud. Fought to the end. Baseball will baseball. #bluejays
