The winner, so far: Mike Konczal: 🏆

Fully on board for what makes Abundance important. Finds shared threads between infrastructure and social policy. But also historicizes the movement, calls Klein/Thompson on (big) blind spots, and complicates the narrative.

Also, holy shit, Bluesky sends real traffic. Will update this tomorrow with firm numbers but journalism is going to move here for sure. Twitter is a drop in the bucket. It's over, but we are so back, and so on and so forth

So proud of the great work happening in Minneapolis, which shows that boosting housing supply helps make homes more affordable.

This is an insular beltway jobs program for George Washington grads with zero hard skills and rich parents. None of these people feel shame or face consequences. It’s an opposition party run by the Bluth family.

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.

I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it.

Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC
