After you watch his Kobayashi/Kurosawa work, I recommend THE WOLVES, a yakuza drama with Leone-esque ambition about Nakadai realizing the systems of honor he's devoted his life to are a sham, usurped by coldblooded 20th century capital. Some of his very best work.

I somehow always forget that Shigesato Itoi, creator of Mother/EarthBound, has been arrested numerous times for protesting against police brutality and for progressive changes to the establishment in Japan's government.

I'm about due to pivot into another type of retro gaming guy. It's been about 5 years since my last mutation into a Saturn Guy, and that tends to be the limit.
Considering becoming a Lynx Guy or an FM Towns Marty Guy. May even go Super Freakjob Mode and morph into an Ouya Guy. Only time will tell.
