Oh, and after all the millions of dollars spent on advertising, the harmful policies and all the demagoguery...

Stop.
Picking.
On.
Trans.
Kids.

The Rs lost to me four times in six years. That should've been a hint. But apparently it wasn't, so the voters made their thoughts crystal clear tonight.

democrats are going to be dealing with anti-trans hate until they either

- nut the fuck up and defend these people from bigoted attacks

- concede to every republican attack on the issue, inevitably leading to the total eradication of trans people from all public life

literally the only 2 options

If you're worried about your daughter losing at sports to a trans kid just wait until you hear about "tall kids" or "rich kids"!!! There's a thousand reasons why one kid might win over another and gender identity is like not even on the list

Poor and working class students of color ALSO face the bullshit racism from people like Andreessen who use their existence as a shield from a real discussion about social inequality in society and as a mechanism for distributing the psychological wages of whiteness that white solidarity depends on.

Of course Andreessen's position is racist as fuck but I wanted to directly address what he's avoiding discussing: the actual barriers poor and working class students face to accessing higher education -- including the white ones. Of course poor and working class students of color face the same ones+

The white students who are struggling to make ends meet are not struggling because Black and immigrant students got into our university. They are struggling because of a shitty social safety net & high tuition because people like Andreesen don't pay sufficient taxes/the state doesn't pay its share.
