Why do some companies believe that testing software is optional. The same system was telling me that 2 topics "needed more work" but one was in meets requirements section and the other in exceeds requirements section. BTW this is from a software company that trains people how to test software!

I think standing in the rain waiting for a train to go to meeting that could be done online is a reminder it's probably time to retire.

Today i have been mostly using machine learning to do apprenticeship things ! Which has nothing to do with AI! I've been using data collected with permission to create a mathematical model to see if my employer is keeping more/less people happy and to predict what is going to happen in the future.

So the 2 4K dispalys arrived and seem very good for the money but i've hit a snag! They were supposed to be 2 hdmi and i vga input. But they are 2 hdmi and 1 display port. I'm not terribly surprised. But finding an VGA input to Display port output is a bit tricky!

Today has been all meetings! And people further up the tree are not happy. Which is odd because they have been treated a lot better than those of us lower down the tree. But I'm still being supportive and i think its been noticed.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... This is interesting. With ITV about to be sold to Comcast, the US could end up completely controlling the UK media. I will miss "have i got news for you" and QI. Although hopefully QI will get picked up by someone else? Although it will hasten the shutdown of DVB

I was in a LGBT++ meeting at work yesterday.I cant believe we are still having meetings about negativity of managers to their LGBT++ staff.I'm not sure within my own organisation its a thing some think it is still a thing generally! It was another opportunity to congratulate someone on coming out.

Bonfire Night

The English celebrate the death of a Catholic who tried to blow up the King because he was the wrong religion. Fortunately he died by hanging before they had time to chop his testicles off, his intestines pulled out and his head chopped off. Its particularly popular with children.
