It's extremely likely that these will be our final sherds of this year. Only a tiny area of riverbank was accessible (about two feet), and even that was being engulfed as we left. Hubs snatched the brown one up from under the water as it passed by. The river never ceases to be kind.

Stopped for a rest during today's ramble and ate my first mince pie of the year... filled with mincemeat, brandy, and port, and topped with a vanilla flavoured Viennese biscuit. I have to say that this will not be my last one.😍

Book post... A couple of Celia Fremlin books for the cold nights in front of the fire that we're about to have (starting Monday, I think). But Randolph Ratty says they look way to frightening for him... 😳
