Finished the quilt top today. It would have been done sooner but it sat dormant for several weeks in timeout when some of the intersections wouldn't line up. I fixed the worst of them (four times each 🙄) but others can F.O. I love the colors.

DOORS has *not* been selected to screen at the Richmond International Film Festival -- but was awarded "semifinalist" status. Not sure how that works, but okay.

A reminder that women’s sports are kept separate from men’s not to protect women from always losing to men, but rather to ensure that no man ever loses to a woman.

Figure skating world championships were considered to be for men only until 1902, when Madge Syers showed up and took home silver and the ISU went "whooooops guess we need to segregate them."

It happened again in 1992 Olympic skeet shooting: Zhang Shan took gold and then they segregated the event.

Look, I know figure skating words for the most part but not skeet shooting ones. I could have picked one of the pictures of her with her gun but the ones without Getty copyright on them were all potato-quality, and also I probably would have used the wrong gun word there too.

My new short film DOORS (Gosh Darn Media) will premiere MARCH 23 at the Indie Short Film Fest in Charlottesville.

My short script BA will also have a live table read that morning. (It won 2nd place!)

A twin size quilt top is made up of half-square triangles of 26 bright colors, sewn into squares, then blocks, then rows.

This'll be a quilt top in the coming days. I hope.

feeling awful about myself and life. have avoided social media for weeks. logging in just to say Hello, and: For me, reading books, doing stuff with my hands, taking care of my dog, and watching cooking shows is all saving my life right now. Social media is emphatically not. Wish you well.

12/12/24 caps a 7-year adventure during which I wrote 10 feature screenplays which have miraculously been produced. Don't know if I can repeat that success, so, I'm going to enjoy the moment while I can. For those interested in the trailers, here ya go!
