Every so often I come back to this set of principles from my burning man camp's orientation and remember to simply breathe, bring extra champagne, and seek inner peace.

There is a reason that the actual federal faucet has always been controlled by apolitical bureaucrats.

Having a president (or an unelected billionaire) with direct, granular control of a quarter of all U.S. spending is power beyond the Founders’ wildest dreams. 10/x

So little traffic at the start of the Friday evening rush was unthinkable mere weeks ago. Amazing.
8th Ave in midtown at 4:30pm. Congestion pricing ROCKS.

It is horrifying how well this SNL sketch (aired Oct '22) has aged. The Democratic party had plenty of time to find a viable candidate to oppose Trump, but instead we're here www.youtube.com/watch?v=46WZ...

You know those weddings when you want to have a wedding reunion party so you can hang out with all the people again?

It's amazing how many Democrats think the tiktok ban is a 'non partisan' issue. 100% true it was passed by a bipartisan coalition and upheld by the conservative Supreme Court. But this is happening under Biden & ban is associated with dems. Trump will reinstate & win loyalty & affection of millions.

Thanks @tumbolia.bsky.social for compiling a list of Feytopians to follow on Bluesky :)

For the unaware: Feytopia is a seasonal creative commune / solarpunk utopia in a castle in the French countryside. Looking forward to returning in the spring... feytopia.com

Ok returning to Bluesky after being a churned early-early adopter

How do I find my friends who are already on the platform? I'm not seeing an easy way to link my address book / other indicators of my social graph

So true. We're desperately in need of some innovative political actors who will either remake their parties or start new ones. I'm watching this space... @andrewyang2024.bsky.social has a new party, though I disagree with a lot of his policy ideas; curious if others are seeing movements emerge
so here is the thing, the people who have trump the win did not vote for this. they voted out of a magical belief that trump would lower prices and make them rich. the gap between what they voted for and what trump will deliver is the space for political opportunity! bsky.app/profile/fkes...
This is what the country voted for. Sad.
