As chair of the Gallatin County Democrats, it's important to me that we have guiding principles to inform our decision making.

These represent a shared vision for how we will advocate for the people of Gallatin County and a roadmap for how I will lead this party into the future.

“Gallatin County Democrats poised to govern from 'bottom up' instead of 'top down'”, a new column by me in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

How do we win in Gallatin County and beyond? I have an idea, and this is my outline!

After I was honorably discharged from the Air Force at 24, I moved to Bozeman to study at Montana State using my VA benefits.

In case anyone missed it in Wednesday’s Bozeman Daily Chronicle, I hereby present my latest little piece on the state of the Democratic Party in Gallatin County. #MTPol

Letter to the editor: Finding blue linings locally in an otherwise red cloud
With Donald Trump winning and Jon Tester losing, Election Day this year was very disheartening for members and supporters of the Democratic Party.

So ends Matt Gaetz’s sham nomination for U.S. Attorney General that was pretense for his House resignation. He’s free and clear now, since the Ethics committee will freeze his report and the Senate can’t subpoena. I can’t find anything about this story that surprises me.
Gaetz is out

@tamarakeithnpr.bsky.social Just caught today’s pod. Montana had two measures, CIs 126 and 127, top-four open primaries and majority to win respectively. (Ranked choice was not mentioned.) Since they were amendments to our constitution, the mechanism for 127 would have been up to the legislature.

I don’t want anyone to have to wonder which candidates or causes I supported during the 2024 election, so here is my ballot, ready to fly away to the Elections Office. #MTPol #BeTheChange

Just unrelenting cruelty.

And judicial indifference. Courts have made it clear that while magic literature is banned for those held in prisons, “it’s for the safety and security of the prison” are magic words that wardens can use to put almost any decision out of reach of judicial oversight.

I would watch the crap out of a movie or mini-series about who Henry Ford really was. He was just too integral a figure in the history of the U.S. for good and awful reasons. We need to stop ignoring the worst parts of history. Mistakes can’t become lessons if we never revisit them.
i think that Ford, a figure of world historical influence, is absolutely the right subject for cinematic examination. does he merit a hagiography? absolutely not. does he merit the kind of psychological portrait that can reveal something about the country he helped build? yes.
