I dated someone like this. It was awful. I realised way too late that what he thought was empathy was victimhood. I still believe he genuinely thinks he's coming from a good place. But the cognitive dissonance was real and I would point it out and he'd pretend I was attacking him.

Watch the restrictions increase in the so called 'land of the free'.
Health implications aside, banning masks is restricting clothing choices. I forsee they will work up to banning piercings, and restricting hair styles and clothing (based on sex).
Perhaps they'll make all the wives wear teal?
