Finished Katana Zero, was pretty short. Liked it a lot. The "hyperviolent pixel art game about contract killers where your goal is to kill everyone in the level, featuring frequent death, instant restarts, incremental learning, and a powerful synth soundtrack" microgenre remains a hit in my book

My hot take about Metroid is that I'm not big into Metroid but I don't think you should ever hear a single human voice or see a single human face during the course of those games unless you 101%'d it, and then you get to see Samus's newest gorgeous visage say "congratulations, gamer" at the camera

I actually really like the conversation system in Katana Zero... There's a real time element to it where you can interrupt characters within a certain window of time. You can only interrupt with one conversation option, usually aggressive, but more unlock if you wait out the interrupt period

The thing about tanking anxiety in XIV is that the game has simplified tanking to a degree where most tanks are actually just going "im da king of da highway" through the whole dungeon without pressing buttons, and you likely won't realize it unless you've played for like 7,000 hours. So dw about it
