Texas transwoman.
Like a lot of Texans, I moved here and earned it. Not a Legacy!
She/her, ya’all
Way over the number of trans women in US athletics programs. But you know which group we worry more about!
Measles cases are now over 700.

Bravo, MAGA.

I think we should all start referring to the current President, as Donald Trump (he/him). Just to remind him that we all have pronouns. Or formally, POTUS (he/him).

This post states what is at stake in the Supreme Court case tomorrow very clearly.
The Supreme Court case tomorrow is fundamentally not about gender affirming care, it's about whether or not trans people have any protections under the 14th amendment. A loss in this case would greenlight a torrent of explicitly discriminatory legislation without much, if any judicial recourse.

If congress does not decide where you can go to the bathroom, you have Cis privilege.

Makes several great points. It’s a mistake to ignore the repub attacks on lgbt voters.

According to the 2022 U.S. Trans Survey of over 92,000 trans people age 16 and up, nearly 50 percent have considered leaving their state of residence due to anti-LGBTQ+ laws, while around 5 percent have actually been internally displaced.

‘Not Everyone Can Leave’: Survival Advice from Trans Teens in Texas
Media attention often focuses on trans teens fleeing the anti-trans states they’re living in. But what about those who can’t leave?

I like this! It’s not new!

I didn’t realize this was the first year. About damn time!
For the first time in history, the White House displayed the AIDS Memorial Quilt on the South Lawn on Sunday, marking an extraordinary and emotional #WorldAIDSDay ceremony.

It’s been a big World AIDS day for the world’s largest ongoing community art project.

So now I read about efforts from the right to keep trans women out of women’s dressing rooms at stores. Those are spaces controlled by the stores but we may soon have store dressing room police. They were never going to stop with bathrooms and sports teams. They want us gone.

Yes we want all these things. The Real things.
Here's our philosophy:

We want the real thing. We want art by trans artists, like @piperbomb.bsky.social. We want reporting by trans journalists like @miralazine.bsky.social. We want satire by trans cut-ups like @alyssaur.bsky.social.

Detransition is not meaningfully different from death to me. The person I am now is so much healthier, and happier. I'm more present, more capable, no longer plagued by depression and self-hatred.

To be forced back to the horrible state I lived in pre-transition would be a loss beyond explaining.
4. Even if it was medically possible...I'd die before I detransitioned. I'm a woman. I'll always be a woman. I would rather die a woman, die for the woman I am, then live a lie. That shit is torture.

Stadium bathrooms

I wonder if the biological gender police will be stopping girls who use the men’s rooms at stadiums and concerts to avoid the long lines in the women’s restrooms.
