I was looking at Derby too and it’s crazy, there’s like a whole massive ring road that’s appeared since I was last there
don't know about you but I spend my weekends wandering around Jesmond on street view trying to remember where my cousins lived, one of those places where I recognise every piece but I can't put them together, like mill towns on the river Derwent, or Derby city centre

Want to hear a ghost story? My grandad once told me there used to be other denes, like Jesmond Dene, but they were filled in and Newcastle was built on top of them

1/ crop marks at Catholme
2/ hawthorn geoglyphs west of Stafford (fuck chalk, clay forever)
3/ Aqualate (warped and latinised from old English for oak grove) Mere, never more than 1m deep (note the similarity to the Basque word akelarre)
