"It’s ludicrous that aviation doesn’t pay fuel tax, especially now that Rachel Reeves is making noises about a tax on electric vehicles. If we’re looking for easy wins for revenue, just look to the skies."

I met and knew serious journalists from three continents, (I married one..)

Big UK media, from the BBC down, almost without exception, are no longer journalists as I knew it..

Plod could arrest them all, and we'd have less RW propaganda.

Will the 4th Estate ever recover? I doubt it.

I find it appalling that we have serving police officers who are so incompetent and bad at their jobs.
She should have used a mouse joggler like the rest of us.

If I were writing a micro-blogging site in the modern era, I'd use a message limit of something like 1,000 characters (probably 1,024, because I'm an old-school metal-basher).
300 characters is too short, and serves no real purpose at all, resulting in thoughts being chopped short.

"I know", I thought, "I'll wander into town this morning. Get a haircut, bit of impulse shopping, spot of lunch, support the local businesses."

Which was the point where I found out that a lot of local businesses can't be arsed to open on Mondays.

C'mon, guys. Meet us half-way :-(

Wise words.
You Are Sane

If you are terrified, you are SANE.
If you are crying, you are SANE.
If you are anxious, you are SANE.
If you are traumatized, you are SANE.
If you are grieving, you are SANE.
If you are depressed, you are SANE.

What’s happening is INSANE.

But YOU ARE SANE.
You are sane.

Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...
