Does anyone know of any sustainability focused eco-tourism programs or experiences in India? Thinking primarily in Kerala but would love to hear of other programs elsewhere in India too

We have truly not yet figured out how to cope with a person or institution that is "aware" of climate change, "accepts the science", but then decides to continue actively worsening it anyway

We don't even have a word or a phrase for this!

Mark Carney’s climate inaction is at odds with his awareness of climate change’s existential threat
Climate action no longer seems to be a priority for Prime Minister Mark Carney, despite his previous activism. This is bad news for Canadians and the climate.

Ocean heat was off the charts, and Australia bore the brunt
For the past year, Australia's oceans have been hotter than ever before. The impacts are being felt all across the nation — as far away from the coast as you can get.

I continue to think that one of the reasons this country is falling apart is the wholesale abandonment of public virtue as a broadly shared aspiration. Or even something people should be embarrassed about if they don’t have it.

128 new mergers between black holes and neutron stars.

Today we're revealing the biggest ever update to our count of gravitational wave detections. New data from May 2023 to January 2024 has more than doubled the number we've seen.

WoodCIDE spilled 16,000 litres of oil into the Indian Ocean north of Ningaloo in May 2025 & today, news of #NingalooReef's mass coral bleaching & mortality

It's extraordinary that @wamuseum.bsky.social has extended it's partnership with WoodCIDE for a further 5 years & is hosting Woodside Open Day
#NingalooReef "annual surveys of the northern section of the reef in May found up to 90 per cent of coral had been bleached down to 20 metres depth", the "lowest cover of live coral" observed since 2007

"up to 50 per cent of the examined coral was dead in May" but "more would be dead now"
‘You realise your children are probably never going to see Ningaloo the way you saw it’
