I would consider reaching out and asking authors if they're happy to provide you a PDF of the book, which they're likely legally clear to do ass they've had rights reverted.
The authors with books still in the pipeline are the ones I have the most sympathy for. They were truly screwed over.

My understanding is that authors may not have lists of backers and their contact info, due to GDPR making it tricky to get the lists from Boundless before they liquidated today.
Authors are doing all they can, but they've been cut off from their ability to keep backers in the loop.
