My employer, which requires me to use a VPN to access a whole host of internal sites not to mention the servers that our production code runs on, will no doubt be thrilled about this. The British state knows nothing about technology.
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.
Exclusive: Ofcom is monitoring VPNs following Online Safety Act. Here's how
Ignoring VPNs risks creating ineffective laws, but tracking them threatens people's privacy

With only 15 reviews to date on imdb, Marc Evans' film about the education of Richard Burton didn't catch too much of a wave, but despite my trepidation, it's actually a really strong British film. Toby Jones is great, and Harry Lawtey shines as the young star. 4/5

Does Robert Jenrick even realise English clubs were banned from playing in any European football competitions after May 1985 for the rest of the decade, returning only in 1990/91, after Heysel disaster, as UEFA + our government felt fans couldn't be policed safely travelling away?

I debated 20 far-far-far-right conservatives (racists? fascists?) on Jubilee's 'Surrounded.'

Here are some of the highlights of them unable to answer my basic questions or rebut the simplest of points. Not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Here's the full 'debate': www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S-W...

Just back from 28 Years Later. Really cool British folk horror with a little England vibe and magic thinking. Ralph Fiennes is brilliant.

It’s part 1 of a trilogy, part 2 is coming, but part 3 needs support, so go see it in cinemas ASAP ;)

SHOCKING FACT: The amount of plastic produced since 1950 equals the mass of roughly 1.2 billion elephants.

Anyone else think it’s time to address the plastic 🐘 in the room?

Went to see MI: Final Reckoning yesterday and this happened on the way back home.

Some might argue it was more exciting than the film.

A man who knows the cost but not the value. What a sad man. Someone should take him to the cinema.

Greatest thing Britain ever created: NHS.
Remit - provide healthcare free at the point of need.
Simple and yet powerful, imagine how many lives are being saved not because they have wealth, power or privilege but simply because they are covered by our NHS.
Never allow privatisation of our NHS.

While you’ve been enjoying the sunshine, we’ve been enjoying Death of a Unicorn. It’s packed with interesting ideas, perhaps too many for them all to get the airtime they deserve. Anthony Carrigan can make you laugh with nothing more than a raised eyebrow. An entertaining ride that’s worth a watch.
