Acton: I’m running against a guy, Vivek Ramaswamy, who has said that people are struggling in Ohio because they’re lazy, they’re mediocre, they’re not working hard enough. And I can absolutely tell you that is not the Ohioans I know or see. I think he’s completely out of touch.

I am even more incandescently furious about this heinous take by Megyn Kelly stack ranking levels of child sexual abuse. Take note: when a young person under 18 wants to begin transitioning with help of their doctor and parent, she loudly proclaims them children and attacks.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

This is so awesome. Hats off to these kids for brilliant perception of a market gap and a way to serve the public, teaching themselves to fix it, and even a great brand. I wish more adults in Silicon Valley were focused on these kinds of challenges

Thanks @backwardsriver.bsky.social for writing this, on 1850s Fugitive Slave Law resistance:

"The [slave-catchers] complained that some in 'the mob came up to us and told us to leave, saying that we, or anybody else, could not take a negro from Chicago.'”

Remember Woodward & Bernstein? Exposed a massive scandal, got a president impeached?

Bernstein's kid wrote this wretched piece of shit. I don't know where you can find a better symbol of American media's decline. Just nauseating.

This is *depraved* -- glamor shots & an exculpatory feature for a woman who shit on the key central tenets of journalism, repeatedly.

NYT is celebrating elite freedom from accountability. Actively celebrating it. You wouldn't put this in a satire, it's too ham-handed!

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.
