NPS park ranger, artist, designer, maker of stuff, cyclist, dog dad, jazz fan, and owner of a killer saxophone I wish I was worthy of.
How many times did I try to explain this to people who said we should have made our stuff in the U.S.? Back when I worked for companies that made stuff in Asia.
Everyone should watch this. Then share it with anyone who thinks these tariffs are a good idea and won’t crush small businesses.

Imagine, if instead of funding Trump’s re-election and buying the Whitehouse, and trying to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Elon invested in solving world hunger or homelessness in America. I believe he has enough money to do both, based on estimates.

People would actually like him.

He’d sell more cars, and he’d be making more money because the libs would like him and they’d buy his cars and stuff. Tesla stock would boom.

WIRED spoke to federal staffers across agencies about how Elon Musk's $1 spending limit is crippling their research, resources and more. In many cases, employees are already unable to carry out the basic functions of their job.
Elon Musk’s $1 Spending Limit Is Paralyzing Federal Agencies
The DOGE-mandated credit card freeze is delaying shipments of critical supplies, stalling travel, and stopping employees from doing their jobs.

Here we go…
Trump has signed an executive order to clear-cut 280 million acres of trees (even endangered species) in National Forests and other projected lands.

Everything this administration does is to troll Americans who didn't vote for Trump. Like, say, environmentalists.

Put another good day’s work into the paining. My studio is too cold to use over the winter, so it sat untouched since September. I also was having a tough time getting started. I’m starting to really like how it’s going. It’s a big one at 5’X5’.

It’s my day off & I’ve been avoiding news today. (I know what happened now.) Instead, I spent some three+ hours working on a painting for a dear client and friend. It’s finally taking shape. This close up was taken the last time I worked on it, and features a mosquito stuck in the paint.

I stumbled on this British comedy by accident. I had no idea what it was about and the trailer didn’t appeal. Bored one night, I decided to give it a go. It has been a much-needed distraction from all the bullshit we’re all currently dealing with. I highly recommend you find it on your PBS channel.

This must be stopped.
The #Trump administration is making plans to illegally reduce and sell off large swaths of our public lands to oil, gas and mining interests. This would bring irreparable harm to the Indigenous stewards of these lands, the outdoor industry and critical ecosystems we all depend on.

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

Some federal employees who accepted Trump’s buyout offer are now being notified that their buyout has been denied, and they are being terminated instead.

Across the government, probationary employees and Schedule A workers—including individuals with severe physical, psychiatric, or intellectual disabilities, as well as veterans—are being let go.

Yes, sir…the parks are already understaffed.
The federal hiring freeze will have disastrous implications for national parks.

Families don’t deserve to have their weekend trips ruined and local economies shouldn’t be destroyed over Trump’s chaos. I’m urging Secretary Burgum to take immediate action.
